Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of EarthReplay. Placing an order means you accept them.

The product

EarthReplay produces a 30-second 1080p timelapse video of a location you select, delivered by email within 48 hours of payment, with a hosted interactive viewer page and a short AI-written description of the location’s change over time. There are two SKUs, both in USD:

  • Wide ($29) — a satellite timelapse from Sentinel-2 (since 2015, ~10 m/px) and Landsat (since 1984, ~30 m/px), accessed via the Microsoft Planetary Computer.
  • Up-close — “see your house” ($59) — a sub-metre aerial timelapse from public archives where available: USDA NAIP (United States, public domain) or Toitū Te Whenua LINZ(New Zealand, CC BY).

Imagery accuracy and resolution

We use the best publicly available scenes for the year range and scale you choose. Some years may have heavy cloud cover and we substitute the nearest clear scene. The AI-written description reflects observable change in the imagery; we do not guarantee the historical or scientific completeness of the narrative.

Resolution varies by SKU. In the wide satellite timelapse, individual buildings are only one or two pixels. In the up-close render, sub-metre aerial imagery means an identifiable dwelling, its garden, parked vehicles and similar features may be visible. Ordering a video does not grant you any rights over the underlying property.

Permission to order up-close imagery

Because the up-close render can show an identifiable home, you may order it only for a property that you own or for which you have the owner’s permission. You confirm this with a required attestation at checkout before an up-close order can proceed. Ordering up-close imagery of someone else’s home without authority is a breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

You may use your video personally, share it on social media, or use it commercially (it is yours). You may not resell EarthReplay rendering as your own service, nor use the platform to harass, surveil, or intimidate any person — including monitoring a private residence you have no connection to.

Removing a location (takedown)

To request removal of imagery or a video of a specific location — for example if it depicts your property and you did not authorise it — email hello@earthreplay.comwith the subject line “takedown” and the location or order details. We will review and, where appropriate, delete the order and the video file.

Refunds

See our refunds policy. In short: full refund within 24 hours of delivery, no questions asked.

Privacy and your data

How we handle personal data — including the IP-based location lookup and your right to erasure — is described in our privacy policy.

Liability

EarthReplay is provided as-is. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

Changes

We may update these terms; the “Updated” date above reflects the last change. Material changes apply only to orders placed after the change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the country of EarthReplay’s registered address.
